Apres racing is great fun in the bar and guest love this place for relaxing break although many bars and restaurants are available in Naas town, within a short taxi ride from the Hotel.

WHEN YOU BOOK

When you book you will be automatically emailed a BOOKING CONFIRMATION which contains all the details of your requested booking.
AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT
Getting to Barberstown Castle Hotel is easy from Dublin Airport: With all of our exclusive Barberstown Castle offers we offer Complimentary Dublin airport transfers to suit you. If you are Driving to Barberstown, Car parking is free and plentiful. Driving Directions are available HERE.
CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be busy during this event so please arrange to arrive from 3pm onwards.
OUR GUEST DESK
Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there each morning and this is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We are there to help you have the best time possible. Please check our screens for the latest information.

Barberstown Guest rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay. Upgrades to 4 poster rooms and Suites are available on request
EATING AND DRINKING
There are 2 main food options at Barberstown. The Barton Rooms Restaurant, the winner of The Good Food Ireland Hotel Restaurant of the Year 2025, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and The Garden Bar for casual dining. RACING PREVIEW SHOW
Please do join us for our Racing Preview show on Saturday Morning at 10am in Lawlors Hotel. Enjoy a light hearted infomative Irish Derby Festival Weekend racing preview show with our special guests hosted by the Racing Post's Dave Jennings. Guests can enjoy free teas and coffees during the preview show.
THE RACES
Friday is an evening race meeting featuring several good handicap races. Saturday is an afternoon meeting with top quality racing action and is Ladies Day. Sunday is Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day, a day to see and be seen, the most prestigious race day in the Irish flat race calendar.
RACE TRANSPORT
On Friday our coach departs the Hotel at 3:00pm. On Saturday & Sunday our coach departs for the Curragh at 11:15am. Where the coach drops you off is where you'll catch the coach back to the hotel 40 minutes after racing. Your guest manager will be on hand to assist on the outward and inbound journeys.
TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 15 minutes before departure. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Hospitality Guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.
AT THE RACES
All days will be very busy but great fun. At The Curragh there are several food and drinks outlets outside and inside the grandstands. Entertainment will be on during the afternoon and a Live Band after racing and if you'd prefer to stay on for the evening entertainment just let us know.
WHAT TO WEAR
There is no formal dress code on Irish Racecourses but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.
