Join us for a Race and Stay exclusive trip this year arriving on Tuesday 23rd June staying at the excellent 4* Lawlors Hotel in Naas. Enjoy the exciting experience of racing at Naas on Thursday evening and all 3 days racing at the Irish Derby Festival .
Our tour starts on Wednesday when we depart for our exclusive tour of Coolmore Stud including a visit to the Fethard Horse Museum with lunch at Saddlers restaurant. On Thursday we visit Kildangan Stud, the breeding operation in Ireland for the mighty Godolphin empire, before evening racing at Naas.
On Friday we visit The Irish National Stud, then the Curragh Racecourse with legendary Curragh Trainer Dermot Weld for lunch and after a short visit to his training yard we return to the hotel for the Derby Preview Show before day 1 of the festival. We aslo enjoy the two big days of racing on Saturday & Sunday at The Curragh and our Derby closing party & BBQ on Sunday night. Getting to Lawlors Hotel is easy from Dublin Airport: as Return Airport Transfers are INCLUDED with this package.
Our Tour Packages include everything you need for your stay. Hotel Accommodation, Return Racecourse and Tours transport, Admission tickets and our guest managers looking after you from arrival to departure. You are also welcome to ADD Hospitality or ANY EXTRA you may wish after you book.
Day 1
Tuesday 23rd June
Arrivals Day- Our driver will collect you from Dublin Airport (if required) and take you to your Hotel to check in.
Day 2
Wednesday 24th June
After breakfast we depart to the excellent Fethard Horse Museum for a welcome coffee and tour. After the tour is over we depart to the world fanous Coolmore Stud where we are treated to a real look behind the scenes of this incredible breeding operation. After the tour we will depart on the very short journey to Saddlers Restaurant for a late lunch. After lunch we will return you to the Hotel.
Day 3
Thursday 25th June
After breakfast we will depart to the fabulous Kildangan Stud, the mighty Godolphin breeding operation in Ireland. After the tour concludes we will return to the hotel to prepare for our evening race meeting at Naas. You can upgrade your ticket to include our sponsors suite Hospitality package for an additional €100 pp. After the races we will return you to the Hotel.
Day 4
Friday 26th June
After breakfast we will transport you to the iconic Irish National Stud, where on our tour you can enjoy learning all about this working stud as well as the Interactive Horse Race Museum. Then it is on to The Curragh for a meet and greet and Lunch with legendary trainer Dermot Weld and a visit to his historic Rosewell House Stables. After our tour we will return to the Hotel for the Derby Preview Show before departing to The Curragh for day 1 of the Derby Festival weekend where you can enjoy 7 races. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel.
Day 5
Saturday 27th June
After breakfast your morning is free allowing you plenty of time to get ready for Ladies Day at the Irish Derby Festival featuring several Group races and great food and entertainment throughout the afternoon. This is your chance to dress up and really get into the Derby Festival spirit. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel.
Day 6
Sunday 28th June
After breakfast and your morning at leisure at 11:45am we will transport you to The Curragh for our pinnacle race of the Season and Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day. Aside from the Irish Derby ifself there are also more fabulous races including several valuable Group and Listed Races. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel in good time for our Derby Party, a fabulous way to end our tour with a delicious BBQ supper included.
Day 7
Monday 29th June
After breakfast at leisure we will transport you back to Dublin Airport for your return flight home. Hopefully richer in every way for the experience.
Additions
To This Tour
You are welcome to add Golf, Additional nights and Hospitality for one or more days of this tour. Why not "Fly In" to the races on our own Helicopters for the extra special treat. Just let us know what you'd like to add and we will get back to you with a quotation.
