Fairyhouse Winter Festival
Sat 27th & Sun 28th November 2021
The famous two-day Fairyhouse Winter Festival is one of the highlights of the opening Irish jumps racing season. Held on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th November 2021 at Fairyhouse Racecourse, located near Ratoath in County Meath only 25km North East of Dublin city centre.
Two fabulous days of quality National Hunt Racing at Fairyhouse make up the Fairyhouse Winter Festival. Not as busy as the main Easter Festival but in our humble opinion two of the best days racing to enjoy in Ireland.
The Fairyhouse Winter Festival races are well established trials for the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals for the following season and the best trainers target this meeting for the valuable races over the weekend. The Fairyhouse Winter Festival is growing in stature every year where top class horses turn up to enhance their future festival credentials, The Fairyhouse Winter Festival is a fabulous two day meeting in its own right featuring major Grade 1 races including the prestigious Hatton’s Grace Hurdle, won by a staggering amount of Irish racing legends in the past including Danoli, Dorans Pride, Istabraq, Limestone Lad, Solarina, Brave Inca, Hurricane Fly, Apples Jade and for the last two years Honeysuckle. All of whom went on to later big festival glory. The Grade 1 Drinmore Chase also features over the weekend with Dorans Pride being the only horse to complete the Hattons Grace Hurdle and Drinmore Chase double. The spectaular Envoy Allen won the 2020 renewal and the Drinmore attracts a high quality field each year.
Come and see some of the best horses compete for the valuable prize money and prestige with fiercely competitive racing, great food, exciting entertainment and stunning fashion to enjoy throughout the weekend. The Fairyhouse Winter Festival has now firmly established itself as one of the best race meetings and with complete Race & Stay packages starting from only €119 it is great value too.
