The now three-day Irish Guineas Festival is the premier meeting of the early Irish flat racing season. Held each year at the end of May at the Curragh Racecourse the headquarters of Irish Flat Racing. The Curragh is located between Newbridge and Kildare in County Kildare only 43km south east of Dublin city centre.
Join us for the new three day meeting featuring the first two classic races of the new flat season at The Curragh, the Tattersalls sponsored Irish 1000 and 2000 Guineas. Three exciting days of classic racing action with a fabulous supporting cast of valuable group and listed races to compliment the classic races over the weekend. A celebration of racing excellence where International Trainers, Jockeys and Equine Superstars come to settle scores and confirm their reputations.
Friday 20th May features top quality racing (card to be announced shortly) with an exciting evening meeting
Saturday 21st May features the first classic race of the season, and the 101st running of the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas as well as the valuable Group 2 Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes and Group 2 Lanwades Stud Stakes. Exciting racing, fabulous fashion and great entertainment feature throught the day.
Sunday 22nd May features the first classic race for 3yo Fillies The Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas. Supported by another strong cast of races, the Group 3 Heider Family Stable Gallinule Stakes and Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup. Great racing with a more relaxed atmosphere.
