MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
There are 2 membership options: FULL МEМBERSHIP which is limited to 60 members allows for guaranteed owner badges, an equal share of any prize money won and a €100 Race and Stay gift Voucher and our exclusive owners day at a race meeting in the UK. Cost is €800 until 30th November 2026. or ASSOCIATE MEMBER, which is limited to 40 members allows for guaranteed owner badges, and our exclusive owners day at a race meeting in the UK. Cost is €400 until 30th November 2026.
ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
Our Racing Club is registered with Horse Racing Ireland #31K97 and is run by Lucy Beck and Martyn Pipe. You are welcome to pay in full, or by monthly card or bank debits and your membership will expire on the 30th November 2026 when you will have the opportunity to renew. Race and Stay do not own any horses and you will not own any part of a horse in the club. We try to select the most suitable horses to lease each year to give our members an exciting and fun opportunity to enjoy racing in Ireland. This is not a syndicate, and you do not own shares in any horse, it is a club that leases horses at no cost and if they do not perform as we like we will change them so the club continues to have 3 horses in training throughout the term. Hopefully they will turn out to be fun, exciting and great to watch, that is the unknown part !
Please note that horses in our club may change from time to time at short notice.
The apple of our eye is a beautiful 3yo unraced filly from a good family of winners stabled with Dermot Weld. We have named her SUNNY NEW BAY. Out of Sunny Bay and by the prolific stallion New Bay we are expecting big things of her when she starts her flat campaign this May or early June. Dermot likes her and has had a few successes from the family so we have hopes that she may turn out to be good in time.
LONELEYHARBOURWALL, is a fine big boned and muscled sprint bred 4yo gelding. Unraced in public, with multiple winners coming from the same family. He is in training with Dermot Weld at the Curragh, back since April after a Gelding operation. He comes from a top class family with multiple winners all over the pedigree and Dermot will do his best to get a win or two out of him during the season ahead.
SOPHIA ROSE is a lovely 7yo Chaser with a great and willing attitude. Rated 106 who came second for us in her first run for the club at Punchestown in early February. Trained by Gavin Cromwell she has had several runs since and most recently ran an exceptional race at Killarney to finish a close second to a well handicapped horse giving her 8lbs. KAMINO BELLO is a an addition to our club stable which we have agreed to lease until his prospective sale in August this year. A fine looking French bred 6yo hurdler with winning form last year and trained by Gavin Cromwell he has had several runs this season most recently in a hot race at the Punchestown Festival, which you can view on racing tv using this link here: A firm ground horse he hasnt had many runs or the opportunity to shine yet this year but we are hopeful, and on Gavin's recommendation, to look after him and he should be well handicapped for the summer jump season. He has the ability, he just needs good or better ground to sparkle on.
Your Questions Answered
When you apply to join the Race and Stay Racing Club we will register you as a club member with both us and Horse Racing Ireland, who overseee the management of horse racing ownership in Ireland. Your Name, address, email, and contact number is officially registed with them as being a member of our club. You will also be given a club members pack which includes the rules of the club, a members badge and welcome pack and all the information you need to enjoy your club membership.
When you pay your membership fee Race and Stay transfer the funds directly into the Race and Stay members club Racing Account.This account is totally seperate from any other account and contains the funds to finance the club's costs, training fees and expenses only. At the end of the club term any remaining funds in the account are distribued equally amoungst club members. Any club member may request financial data at any time. The Club is totally transparent in terms of financing.
Each month each member will receive an Emailed newsletter keeping you updated as to the horses progress, planned entries and all the information you need to enjoy the club. Additionlly you will be enrolled into our Racing Club WhatsApp group where you can find out any last minute information or changes, updates on horses, chat to other members, voice any concerns, engage with the Club Managers and much more.
The Race and Stay Racing Club is run and managed by Lucy Beck and Martyn Pipe. Both are registered as owners and Club Managers with Horse Racing ireland and are subject to their rules and regualations. Once a year, in September, we will have a members club meeting where all members can voice any concerns over the club's management and decisions made by the club managers. This will be a virtual meeting for those that cannot attend in person

When you join the club your are commiting to a 12 month membership. If you decide to leave the club during the club term no refunds will be given as your membership determines the number of horses we have in training and your responsibility to other club members. If you are uncertain as to whether you want to stay in the club for the full 12 months then please do not apply. After the current period has elapsed you can leave the club without penalty.
