Day 1

 WEDNESDAY

Arrivals Day
Our driver will collect you from Dublin Airport.Tonight we have a welcome dinner for our guests.

Day 2

 THURSDAY

After breakfast we depart to Johnny Murtagh's training yard at The Curragh for our tour. Then its on to the excellent Fethard Horse Museum for a tour. After this we will depart to Saddlers Restaurant for lunch. We then depart to the world famous Coolmore Stud where we are treated to look behind the scenes of this incredible breeding operation and a peek at the Legacy Room. Then we return you to the Hotel.

Day 2

 FRIDAY

After breakfast we depart to the Irish National Stud for our tour before returning to the Curragh for Lunch with legendary trainer Dermot Weld and a tour of his stables. This afternoon we visit Godolphin's breeding operation in Ireland, Kildangan Stud for our tour. After the tour we return you to the Hotel.

Day 3

  SATURDAY

After breakfast at 10am join us for the Derby Preview Show at Lawlors Hotel before getting ready for Ladies Day at the Curragh featuring several Group races throughout the afternoon. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel.

Day 5

  SUNDAY

After breakfast your morning is free before getting ready for Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day at the Curragh featuring several the premier race of the season and exciting races with great food and entertainment throughout the afternoon. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel in good time to enjoy our Apres Derby BBQ and Party with our live band entertaining you long into the night.

Day 6

 MONDAY

After breakfast at leisure we will transport you back to Dublin Airport for your return flight home. Hopefully richer in every way for the experience.

CHECKING IN

Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.

OUR GUEST DESK

Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there 1 hour before our transport departs each day. This is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We will also be at the races exh day, we are there to help you have the best time possible.

YOUR ROOM AND COMFORT

The Osprey Guest rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay.

EATING AND DRINKING

There are 2 main food options at The Osprey. The Herald and Devoy restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and The Osprey Bar for casual dining. The Bar serves a wide selection of Beers and Spirits and often has entertainment at weekends. Bookings essential for all meals: Call + 353 45 881111

SPA & LEISURE

NAAS TOWN

Naas Town is the social hub of the local area with many great local bars, restaurants and entertainment each night, all within walking distance of The Osprey Hotel. A few suggestions are Haydens Bar, McCormacks, Tommy Fletchers, and Kavanaghs. All (except Fletchers) have entertainment at weekends.

FRIDAY @ THE RACES

The Friday evening Meeting that opens the Irish Derby Festival features Several tricky handicaps and quality races to solve on an 8 race card. The evening meeting usually starts just before 5pm and concludes at 9pm. Our coaches depart to get you to the Curragh 1 hour before the first race and depart after the last race.

SATURDAY @ THE RACES

After breakfast at 10am join us for the Derby Preview Show at Lawlors Hotel before getting ready for Ladies Day at the Curragh featuring Fashion and several Group races with great food and entertainment throughout the afternoon. After racing concludes we will return you to the Hotel.

SUNDAY @ THE RACES

Today is the pinacle race day of the Irish season. Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day. A day to enjoy the electric atmosphere, Fashion, top class racing and entertainment. Join us at Lawlors Hotel at 8pm for our Apres Derby Party featuring our BBQ supper and Live Band until late.

RACE TRANSPORT

On Friday we will depart the Hotel at 15:00 on Saturday our coach departs for the Curragh at 11:45 On Sunday we depart at 11:15. Where the coach drops you off is where you'll catch the coach back to the hotel 45 minutes after racing concludes. Your guest manager will assist on all journeys.

TICKETS & HOSPITALITY

Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 11:30 each morning. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Hospitality Guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.

WHAT TO WEAR

There is no formal dress code on Irish Racecourses but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.
