The 4-star City North Hotel is located just off Junction 7 on the M1, Dublin-Belfast route and 30 minutes from Dublin city and less from Laytown Racecourse. There is also a coach stop at the hotel and a regular service to Dublin city centre which takes 30 minutes. The historic town of Drogheda is 10 minutes away, the gateway to the Boyne Valley Region and Ireland's Ancient East.
Rooms are all air conditioned and are soundproofed. Larger than most City style hotels they feature large comfortable beds, power showers, free Wi-Fi and satellite plasma-screen TVs. There is a 24-hour room service menu and interconnecting rooms are available for families, upon request. Afternoon Tea and a wide choice of dining options are served in the Tara Lounge and Mornington Restaurant. Facilities include a fitness suite and treatment rooms. There are several links golf courses within a 5-mile radius of the hotel.

AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT
The best way to get to The City North Hotel is by taxi from Dublin Airport, approximately 30 minutes away. There are no good public transport links to the Hotel from the airport. an Airport Taxi will cost approx €80 each way, or a Private Transfers €100 each way.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Parking for hotel guests at Citynorth Hotel is free. The car park is located opposite to the hotel on ground level with parking for over 200 cars. There are entrance and exit barriers but no ticket is required. Driving Directions are available here
PRIVATE TRANSPORT
Private Transfers are available to and from Dublin Airport with our travel partner, Platinum Driving Services. You can view charges and book online HERE. For Groups of 7 or more guests we can offer Private return coach transport from €250 each way.
CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.

Citynorth Guest rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay.
EATING AND DRINKING
Breakfast is served in The Tara Lounge from 6.30am to 10.30am, if you are in hurry ask for a take away breakfast to be prepared on check in! Our A lá Carté Lunch Menu is served from 12-5pm, and our A lá Carté Dinner Menu is served from 5-9pm Sunday Carvery 12.30-5pm followed by our A lá Carté Menu from 6-9pm We offer daily specials including a vegetarian option and cater for all dietary requirements.
LAYTOWN RACES
The Laytown beach flat races take place this year on Thursday 10th September with 6 races to enjoy. This unique track is laid out after the tide recedes and rails, winning post and all required to run a race meeting are put in place. Racing starts about 5pm and the races take place each evening, usually finishing just before 9pm.
RACE TRANSPORT
Our coach departs for Laytown at 15:00. The coach will get as close as possible to the racecourse entrance marquee and where the coach drops you off is close to where you'll catch the coach back to the hotel 30 minutes after racing concludes. Your guest manager will be on hand at the races to assist on the outward and inbound journeys.
TICKETS & ADMISSION
Please collect your race tickets from your guest manager at the Hotel no later than 15 minutes before departure. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. There are numberous food and drink outlets set up on the beach. And Tote and Bookmakers in attendance.
