The 4* Spencer Hotel is perfectly located overlooking the River Liffey, just a few minutes walk from the famous O'Connell Bridge and 30 minutes from Dublin Airport and Leopardstown Racecourse. Airport Transfers are easy as the Aircoach arrives and departs every 30 minutes from Dublin Airport and stops right outside the hotel. Our packages include luxury Classic Rooms, either with 1 x King Size (Double) or 2 x Separate Beds (Twin). Each air-conditioned room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. All rooms include Nespresso coffee machines and tea making facilities. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom with power shower and complimentary Handmade Soap Company toiletries.
The hotel features The Spencer Health Club which includes a fitness centre and indoor swimming pool. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the property. The Spencer Hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of dining options, including the fab East Restaurant which has a good reputation for food quality and customer service. For a more casual experience the Hotel bar is a great spot for a post race tipple and delicious meal from the substantial all day dining menu. Alternatively you do not have to leave the room for a delightful meal dining from your balcony overlooking the River Liffey.

WHEN YOU BOOK
Over 80,000 happy guests have booked with Race and Stay and when you book with us you can chose to pay a €100 deposit or Pay In Full. Either way your payment to us is fully refundable anytime up until 20/12/26. When you book you will be automatically emailed a BOOKING CONFIRMATION which contains all the details of your requested booking.
AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT
Depending on the number of guests travelling together, the fastest and most comfortable way to get to The Spencer Hotel is by taxi. The drive will take around 25 minutes and will cost around €40 to €45. If you are travelling as a group we can arrange a mini-coach or coach for your return journey.
ARRIVING BY CAR
The Spencer Hotel, is located on Excise Steet in central Dublin. Directions from anywhere to The Spencer Hotel can be found Here. The Spencer Hotel car park is part of the busy IFSC complex and car parking is available at an overnight rate of €25 per day. Just a short walk from the Car Park to the Hotel entrance.
PRIVATE TRANSPORT

CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.
OUR GUEST DESK
Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there from 10:00 each morning and this is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We are there to help you have the best time possible. Please check our screens for the latest information.
YOUR ROOM AND COMFORT
The Spencer Hotel rooms are all en-suite and have very comfortable Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels, luxury toiletries, and all you need for your stay.
EATING AND DRINKING
The Spencer Hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of dining options, including the fab East Restaurant which has a good reputation for food quality and customer service. For a more casual experience the Hotel bar is a great spot for a post race tipple and meal from the all day dining menu.
HOTEL LEISURE
Guests have complimentary access to The Spencer Health Club, located in the Hotel. Enjoy a full equipped gym with free weights, machines and cardio exercise machines, and a 25 metre swimming pool with a sauna and steam room. Please ask at reception for details and opening hours.
CLOSE BY
The Spencerl on Excise street is located within walking distance of the trendy bars and restaurants of the Docklands area and also to the best bars and nightlife in the city centre. The main shopping areas of Grafton Street and O'Connell Street are just a few minutes away as is Temple Bar.
RACING PREVIEW SHOWS
Please do join us for our Racing Preview shows on Saturday & Sunday mornings at The Clayton Hotel, Leopardstown starting at 10am. Enjoy a light hearted infomative preview show with our special guests. Admission is free to all Race and Stay Guests, get a taxi to the event, and you can take the Clayton coach to the races afterwards.
THE RACES
Dublin Racing Festival features 4 Grade 1 races each day and a number of high value supporting contests to enjoy. Racing starts at 13:15 on Saturday and concludes at 16:45. On Sunday the first race is due off at 12:40 and the last race is at 16:25. We try to ensure we have all guests inside the racecourse and comfortable no later than 12 noon each day.
RACE TRANSPORT
We run one coach each day to Leopardstown departing at 11:30 on Saturday and 11:15 on Sunday Direct to the racecourse. When you are dropped off it is a 300mt uphill walk from the coach park to the entrance. Return coaches depart from where you were dropped off in the coach park departing 40 minutes after the last race.
TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 10:45 each morning. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Premier Level and Hospitality guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.
AT LEOPARDSTOWN
Both days will be very busy but great fun. There are several food and drinks outlets outside and inside the grandstand. Entertainment will be on during the afternoon and after racing so if you want to stay on, please do, you can get a taxi or just walk back to the hotel if you leave after the last shuttle has departed.
WHAT TO WEAR
There is no formal dress code at Leopardstown but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.
