The 4* Clayton Hotel, Leopardstown is THE Hotel to stay in for the Dublin Racing Festival, held in 2027 on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st January. The Clayton Leopardstown is Less than 20 minutes travel time from the City with direct Luas (Tram) links and with a direct coach to and from Dublin Airport. Only a 5 minute stroll away from Leopardstown Racecourse.
Our 2 or more night packages include luxury Classic Rooms, either with 1 x King Size (Double) or 2 x Separate Beds (Twin). All guest rooms are designed to maximise your comfort and they include a well appointed luxury en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV, complimentary WiFi, plenty of hanging space and very comfortable Clayton signature bed(s). Upgrades to Executive Rooms and Suites are also available at additional cost. Dining is a pleasure with casual and more formal options in three locations, as well as a coffee and snack bar. For the evening the excellent Bookmakers Bar serves cocktails, beers, wines and spirits and there is usually entertainment on each weekend night. WHEN YOU BOOK

AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT
Race and Stay run FREE Return Airport Shuttles for guests staying 3 or more nights, arriving on Friday . If you arrive on any other day there is an Aircoach direct from the Airport to and from the Clayton. More info HERE. Taxis are freely available from the Airport and hotel, cost should be about €70.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Parking for hotel guests at Clayton Hotel Leopardstown is available at a special overnight rate of €10 which can be paid on check out. The car park is located underneath the hotel. The car park is accessible by elevator to the Hotel lobby and then all floors. Driving Directions are available HERE.
PRIVATE TRANSPORT
Private Transfers are available to and from Dublin Airport with our travel partner, Platinum Driving Services. You can view charges and book online HERE. For Groups of 7 or more guests we can offer Private return coach transport from €250 each way, depending on guest numbers.
CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.
OUR GUEST DESK
Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there from 09:00 each morning and this is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We are there to help you have the best time possible. Please check our screens for the latest information.
YOUR ROOM AND COMFORT
The Clayton rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Clayton Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay.
EATING AND DRINKING

RACE AND STAY BAR
Race and Stay have exlusive use of our own bar during the Dublin Racing Festival. A place for our guests to beat the queues for a drink after racing and enjoy the Racing TV replays of the days action on the big screen. Our Bar is open from 5pm on Saturday & Sunday evenings. Food is served in the main atrium
HOTEL LEISURE
The Clayton Hotel has a small fitness suite, located on the lower ground floor which is free to use for all hotel guests over 18. Weights, running machines and more are all available for you to use from 08:00 until 20:00 each day. Please note that this hotel has no in house pool or spa.
RACING PREVIEW SHOWS
Please do join us for our Racing Preview shows on Saturday & Sunday mornings at 10am in the Race and Stay Bar. Enjoy a light hearted infomative racing preview show with our special guests, Daryl Jacob, Patrick Mullins, Sean Flanagan, Gavin Cromwell and more hosted by the Racing post's Dave Jennings
THE RACES
Dublin Racing Festival features 4 Grade 1 races each day and a number of high value supporting contests to enjoy. Racing starts at 13:15 on Saturday and concludes at 16:45. On Sunday the first race is due off at 12:40 and the last race is at 16:25. We suggest that you arrive before 11:45am on both days.
RACE TRANSPORT
The Clayton Hotel run a shuttle coach to and from Leopardstown Racecourse starting from 11:15am. When you are dropped off it is a 300mt uphill walk from the coach park to the entrance. Return coaches depart from where you were dropped off starting after the last race and run for 90 minutes after the last race.
TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 11:30 each morning. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Premier Level and Hospitality guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.
AT LEOPARDSTOWN
Both days will be very busy but great fun. There are several food and drinks outlets outside and inside the grandstand. Entertainment will be on during the afternoon and after racing so if you want to stay on, please do, you can get a taxi or just walk back to the hotel if you leave after the last shuttle has departed.
WHAT TO WEAR
There is no formal dress code at Leopardstown but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.
