WHEN YOU BOOK

AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.

Day 1
Wednesday 11th November
Our driver will collect you from Dublin Airport (if required) and take you to the 4* Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa to check in.
Day 2
Thursday 12th November
After breakfast your morning is free before we depart for Punchestown Races where we will escort you to our Private Suite where you'll enjoy a 2 course lunch with fabulous views over the finish line. A great spot to enjoy some exciting jump racing for the afternoon.
Day 3
Friday 13th November
After breakfast we will transport you to the fabulous stables of Gavin Cromwell for our tour. After the tour concludes we will enjoy a visit to the famous Bective Stud. From there we will return to the Hotel.
Day 4
Saturday 14th November
Today we depart to Navan Racecourse for our first day of racing at the fabulous festival weekend. There are several valuable and exciting races to enjoy today. Upgrade to Hospitality for an additional €120pp
Day 5
Sunday 15th November
Today we depart to Navan Racecourse for our second day of racing at the fabulous festival weekend. There are several valuable and exciting races to enjoy today including the highlight of the weekend the Troytown Chase. You can also upgrade your ticket to Hospitality at an additional €120pp if required.
Day 6
Monday 16th November
After breakfast we will transport you back to Dublin Airport for your return flight home.
CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.
OUR GUEST DESK
Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there at least 1 hour before we depart for racing on Saturday and Sunday. This is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We are there to help you have the best time possible.
YOUR ROOM AND COMFORT
Dunboyne Castle Guest rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay.
EATING AND DRINKING
There are 3 main food options at the Hotel. The Ivy Restaurant for an a la carte dining experience or The Terrace Lounge for a more casual option. The Sadlier Bar serves a fine selection of draught beers including Irish craft options, wines, liqueurs and the finest Irish whiskeys as well as a casual dining menu during bar opening hours.

Dunboyne Town is the social hub of the local area with a few excellent local bars and restaurants, all within a 5 minute stroll of the Hotel. A fabulously historic part of Ireland Dunboyne and The Boyne Valley offers amazing scenery, old castles, Neolithic tombs, Historic Monuments and much more to explore. You can arrange a rental car from the airport or Hotel
SATURDAY AT THE RACES
Day One of the Navan Winter Festival is a true highlight of the National Hunt racing calendar where the established, and upcoming, equine stars start their campaigns. The features include the renowned Bar One Racing Fortria Chase and the Railway Bar Lismullen Hurdle. There will be live music in the festival marquee after the last race.
SUNDAY AT THE RACES
Day 2 of the Navan Winter Festival features features the Race and Stay Beginners Chase, the Bar One Racing Troytown Chase, and the Monksfield Novice Hurdle, this is a day you will not want to miss! Local and National trainers target these races with established festival runners and you'll see many famous names competing.
RACE TRANSPORT
On Saturday & Sunday our coach departs for Navan at 10:30am each morning. The coach will get as close as possible to the main entrance and where the coach drops you off is where you'll catch the coach back to the hotel 40 minutes after racing concludes. Your guest manager will be on hand to assist on the outward and inbound journeys.
TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 10:20 each morning. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Hospitality Guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.
AT THE RACES
Both days will be very busy but great fun. At Navan there are several food and drinks outlets outside and inside the grandstands. Entertainment will be on during the afternoon and a Live Band after racing and if you'd prefer to stay on for the evening entertainment just let us know.
WHAT TO WEAR
There is no formal dress code on Irish Racecourses but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.
NAVAN HOSPITALITY

The Bective Room is located on the first level of the grandstand with magnificent views over the Racecourse and a large balcony overlooking the parade ring. Our package includes a 3 course lunch, Cash Bar, race card, pen and Guest tipster. Guests can book a table of 10 or be seated on shared tables of 10 or alternatively if smaller tables are available on table sizes to suit your group size. The Final Fence Marquee is a more casual dining experience which includes: 3 course buffet lunch, Cash bar, Seating on shared or group tables of 10.
