The 4-star City North Hotel is located just off Junction 7 on the M1, Dublin-Belfast route and 30 minutes from Dublin city and less from Bellewstown Racecourse. There is also a coach stop at the hotel and a regular service to Dublin city centre which takes 30 minutes. The historic town of Drogheda is 10 minutes away, the gateway to the Boyne Valley Region and Ireland's Ancient East.
Rooms are all air conditioned and are soundproofed. Larger than most City style hotels they feature large comfortable beds, power showers, free Wi-Fi and satellite plasma-screen TVs. There is a 24-hour room service menu and interconnecting rooms are available for families, upon request. Afternoon Tea and a wide choice of dining options are served in the Tara Lounge and Mornington Restaurant. Facilities include a fitness suite and treatment rooms. There are several links golf courses within a 5-mile radius of the hotel.

WHEN YOU BOOK

When you book you will be automatically emailed a BOOKING CONFIRMATION which contains all the details of your requested booking.
AFTER YOU BOOK
Our booking terms are very fair and easy to understand, for both you and us. After you have booked you can email us to change anything, add extras or cancel your booking in full and receive a full refund anytime up until 31 days before you arrive. From 31 days through event no refunds are possible but you may be able to change some minor details.
FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT
The best way to get to The City North Hotel is by taxi from Dublin Airport, approximately 30 minutes away. There are no good public transport links to the Hotel from the airport. an Airport Taxi will cost approx €80 each way, or a Private Transfers €100 each way.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Parking for hotel guests at Citynorth Hotel is free. The car park is located opposite to the hotel on ground level with parking for over 200 cars. There are entrance and exit barriers but no ticket is required. Driving Directions are available here
PRIVATE TRANSPORT
Private Transfers are available to and from Dublin Airport with our travel partner, Platinum Driving Services. You can view charges and book online HERE. For Groups of 7 or more guests we can offer Private return coach transport from €250 each way.
CHECKING IN
Please go to Hotel reception and check in. If you arrive before check in time (3:30pm) you may not have access to your room. In this case the Hotel will store your luggage for you until your room is ready. The Hotel will be 100% full during this event so please be prepared for a longer check in time than normal.
OUR GUEST DESK
Our Race and Stay guest desk is located a short distance from Hotel reception. Our staff are based there at least 1 hour before we depart for racing on all three days. This is where you will collect your race tickets from each day. We are there to help you have the best time possible.
YOUR ROOM AND COMFORT
Citynorth Guest rooms are all en-suite are very comfortable and feature signature Beds and Pillows. You'll have plenty of hanging space for your clothes, with in room safe, tea and coffee station, hairdryer, flat screen TV and channels, iron and board, fluffy towels and all you need for your stay.
EATING AND DRINKING
Breakfast is served in The Tara Lounge from 6.30am to 10.30am, if you are in hurry ask for a take away breakfast to be prepared on check in! Our A lá Carté Lunch Menu is served from 12-5pm, and our A lá Carté Dinner Menu is served from 5-9pm Sunday Carvery 12.30-5pm followed by our A lá Carté Menu from 6-9pm We offer daily specials including a vegetarian option and cater for all dietary requirements.
LEISURE
The recent upgrade of the fitness suite means that there is now more space to enjoy your workout. Open for residents only, new eliptical and treadmill machines were added along with a selection of weights, dumbells and a multi gym machine. The views to the Meath Countryside from the bright windows make this a relaxing area to work out in during your stay.
CLOSE BY
County Meath on the East Coast of Ireland is also known as "The Royal County", steeped in history and home to some of the finest golf courses in Ireland. Travel time from CityNorth Hotel to some of these world class golf courses in between 10 and 30 minutes drive making it the perfect hotel to stay and play in. Royal Tara, Laytown and Bettystown are links of note and Seapoint is a "must play" course.
A UNIQUE RACECOURSE
Bellewstown is a unique and exciting racecourse with a long history. Located atop the Hill of Crockafotha, in County Meath. Made famous by King George III who sponsored The Kins Plate in 1780 and more latterly by legendary gambler Barney Curley who instigated the Yellow Sam plot in 1975 by blocking the use of the phone lines from the phone box still on site today.
BELLEWSTOWN RACES
The Summer Festival has three days of quality jump and flat races to enjoy. This tricky track has unique undualtions and a kink in the bend before the finish which often catches an inexperienced horse and rider out so course form can be key. The races take place each evening, usually starting about 5pm each day, and finish just before 9pm.
RACE TRANSPORT
On each day our coach departs for Bellewstown at 15:00. The coach will get as close as possible to the main entrance and where the coach drops you off is where you'll catch the coach back to the hotel 40 minutes after racing concludes. Your guest manager will be on hand to assist on the outward and inbound journeys.
TICKETS & HOSPITALITY
Please collect your race tickets from our Guest Desk no later than 14:30 each day. When you arrive at the racecourse entrance you will have your ticket scanned and you are free to enjoy your day. Hospitality Guests will be escorted by our staff to the area they are booked into.
AT THE RACES
All 3 days will be very busy but great fun. At Bellewstown there are several food and drinks outlets outside and inside the grandstands. Entertainment will be on during the afternoon and a Live Band after racing and if you'd prefer to stay on for the evening entertainment just let us know.
WHAT TO WEAR
There is no formal dress code on Irish Racecourses but no sportswear or anything offensive. For the Ladies, if you want to “glam up for the day” please do so, but do also dress for the weather. For the Gents, smart casual always works in all areas but the main rule is to be comfortable and warm in what you are wearng.

Join us for a Race and Stay very special trip this year arriving on Wednesday 1st July , staying at the excellent 4* Dunboyne Castle Hotel. Our tour includes a Special Tour of leading trainer Ger Lyons Stable on Thursday morning followed by a behind the scenes tour of Bellewstown Racecourse. On Friday we have orgainsed a special visit to Gavin Cromwell's , Danestown Yard. These, coupled with a fabulous 3 days racing for the Bellewstown Festival on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with all transport, breakfast and some meals included.

Bellewstown Hospitality is a casual dining experience, albeit with excellent quality food and service. Located in the reserved Marquee close to the action. Our package includes a 3 course buffet dinner, Cash Bar, race card, pen and Guest tipster. Guests can book a table of 10 or be seated on shared tables of 10 or alternatively if smaller tables are available on table sizes to suit your group size.
