The Races
Punchestown Festival runs from Tuesday 28th April to Saturday 2nd May 2026. The three best racing days to attend for race fans are the Tuesday, for the iconic Punchestown Champion Chase. Wednesday for the Punchestown Gold Cup, the highlight of the week, and Thursday For the Stayers Hurdle. If you are going for more of a party type experience then Friday and Saturday are for you. Racing starts at 2:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday and at 3:40pm on Friday, the busiest day. With valuable prizes on offer Punchestown Festival continues to attract more and more UK runners which makes the races even more exciting.
