OUR HISTORY
Race and Stay have been in business since 2013, and we are proud to say that this year we will celebrate our 10th anniversary.
We started originally with The Curragh Racecourse to deliver racing packages for visitors to the many race meetings they held each year. We grew quickly and became an integral part of the Curragh Marketing strategy for the next 5 years. During the 2018-2019 season The Curragh became a different company which allowed us to widen our services to include all of the racecourses in Ireland.
We started bringing guests to Punchestown, Galway, Naas, Fairyhouse, Leopardstown and many more racecourses and were growing year on year until the Covid Pandemic closed the worldwide tourism industry down. We are proud to say that we were able to refund all guests and re-book those that wished to do so as soon as we knew that racing and our services would not be available. No one knew how long the pandemic would last or what implications it would have on the racing and tourism business but we stayed positive,realising that someday things would improve. This gave us a new focus to further expand what we offer and redesign the website to provide even more great value options for our guests to enjoy when they could return. In February 2022 we welcomed our first guests back after the restrictions were eased and I'm delighted to say that since then we have continued to grow apace and we are now looking forward to better times.

MOVING FORWARD
Race and Stay have been busy over the last year. We re-negotiated our deals with our Hotel Partners, Expanded some of our package offerings, included more items that guests wanted to book and most importantly we strengthened our relationships with the Racecourses we work with.
All of the original staff are still with us and we are in the process of recruiting more quality people to grow with us. We now sponsor several key races in Ireland, we have also set up and run a funding and support relationship with The Irish Injured Jockeys Fund who do fabulous work looking after riders and stable staff who need assitance, and also Irish Horse Welfare Trust, who provide a valuable service for racehorses in retirement. Through these initiatives we are proud to support those that are the key human and equine support services in our business.
We already have a very big order book going into the 2023 season and, unlike some spectator reductions in the past 11 months, we have grown 44% on pre-pandemic levels. We are not stopping there. We will continue to offer the best guest experiences and ever grow our portfolio of services to deliver even more and even better packages to our loyal client base and hopefully many more new guests too.
