INTRODUCTION

The spread and containment of Coronavirus (COVID-19) may be a concern for travellers in general and attendee's at all main sporting events and gatherings worldwide. Whilst you appreciate that individual Governments, not us, determine travel advice, and circumstances can change very quickly, we strongly advise that you keep up to date with any travel and health advice issued by your own government, and especially if you or any guest travelling with you has been to an affected region or is in the heightened risk category as defined by the World Health Organisation.

As you will apreciate the situation regarding travel and sporting events is constantly changing. We are doing our best to keep up with the myriad of information and advisories from all official sources.

CURRENT SITUATION

Today the Board of Horse Racing Ireland announced that horseracing "Will be cancelled in Ireland until 19th April" This follows Government advice issued on 12th March and subsequent advice and directives to contain the spread of Covid-19. After consultation with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and with industry stakeholders, Horse Racing Ireland has cancelled all race meetings in Ireland until at least the 19th of April.
There are also impending restrictions on working practices, social and pleasure activities including Hotels, Bars, Clubs, Restaurants and Pubs, Retail outlets, Family and group gatherings and visitations to Hospitals. In accordance with this directive we are all now working from home but have access to all the information we need to assist you if you have any questions regarding your booking with us.

OUR POLICY

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our primary concern and our policy is always to keep customers informed as to any changes or recommendations that cover every event we run.
We will notify guests individually by email or SMS text message or both immediately if any factors change the booking they have with us. .

AMENDMENTS TO TERMS - IMPORTANT

The Coronavirus, and other travel factors resulting from your Government direction, may affect your ability to travel or attend the Race Meeting you have booked for. We here at Race & Stay are committed to providing our valued guests with the best experience whilst in our care and we have outlined below some special terms, in addition or replacing our existing terms and conditions where applicable, which will apply should your booking be affected by the recent COVID-19 travel advisories ONLY.

PAYING YOUR BALANCE - IMPORTANT

The situation is changing rapidly If you are worried that the event you have booked for may be cancelled or rescheduled or you may not be able to travel we have temporarily extended our Balance Payment deadline from 31 days to anytime up until 8 days before your first arrival date or event date until such time as the situation is resolved and travel and event attendance is considered to be back to normal. This will allow enough time for guests to analyse the situation, have more information, and give you longer to make the decision on whether you want to travel or attend. We have also amended our cancellation policy to take into account potential travel or event restrictions that may apply during this outbreak.

YOUR BOOKING WITH US

Consists of three main elements

  1. Your Hotel Booking
  2. Your Race Meeting Booking
  3. Any additional bookings or side tours and events

You are welcome to modify or cancel any (or all) of these elements at any stage up until 31 days before you arrive and receive a full refund, no matter the reason for amendment or cancellation.

In all cases of cancellation our limit of liability is limited to only what you have paid us. Any additional expenses you may have incurred outside of your direct booking with us such as, but not limited to, airfares, ongoing travel bookings or other items are your responsibility only. These and other costs may be covered by your travel insurance policy.

If YOU Cancel Your Booking

If you have to cancel your booking anytime from 8 days before you travel to your intended date of travel because your government has officially announced that travel to Ireland is not safe or you have a pre-existing medical condition that may cause you to cancel, or you have booked a flight which has been cancelled you have to claim from your travel insurance company - and not us.

If you cancel your booking for any other reason

Race and Stay have a comprehensive and very fair cancellation policy which you can read as part of our terms and conditions of booking here.

  1. If you decide to cancel your booking (for whatever reason) more than 31 days before your first scheduled arrival OR event date and you request a cancellation from us we will refund you in full.
  2. If you cancel your booking less than 31 days up to 8 days before your first arrival or event date then we will retain your deposit only and changes to your booking may incur additional fees.(except in cases whereby an element of your package is unavailable or cancelled in which case we will refund your booking in full or offer you an alternative option).
  3. If you wish to cancel your booking or amend it 7 days or less from your first arrival date no refunds are permissible and 100% of the cost of your booking will be lost. (except in cases whereby an element of your package in cancelled in which case we will refund that element only)

Any additional expenses you may have incurred outside of your direct booking with us such as, but not limited to, airfares, ongoing travel bookings or other items are your responsibility only. These and other costs may be covered by your travel insurance policy.

If THE EVENT you have booked for is Cancelled

Up until 31 days before your event

If we have prior knowledge of any element of your package cancellation at least 31 Days beforehand we will advise all affected customers accordingly and offer you one of two options.

  1. We can cancel your booking in full and offer you a full refund
  2. or Offer you an alternative option.

The decision to have a refund or an alternative option is yours.

Up until 8 days before your event

If we have prior knowledge of any element of your package cancellation from 30 days to at least 8 Days before the event and before you arrive we will advise all affected customers accordingly and offer you one of three options.

  1. We can cancel your booking in full and offer you a full refund
  2. Offer you a refund on the cancelled element of your package
  3. Offer you an alternative option.

The decision to have a refund, part refund or an alternative option is yours.

From 7 days before your event

If we are informed of any element cancellation from 7 Days before you arrive or whilst you are travelling or after you arrive we will advise all affected customers accordingly and offer you one of the following options. Offer you a refund on the cancelled element of your package only or Offer you an alternative option (if one is available). The decision to have a part refund or an alternative option is yours. In the case of the above condition the remainder of your booking (such as hotel accommodation and unaffected events or tours) will stand and our normal cancellation policy applies.

In all cases of cancellation our limit of liability is limited to only what you have paid us. Any additional expenses you may have incurred outside of your direct booking with us such as, but not limited to, airfares, ongoing travel bookings or other items are your responsibility only. These and other costs may be covered by your travel insurance policy.
